Piégut-Pluviers has a superb traditional market, which is the largest in the Dordogne, and also one of the oldest. It has been held every Wednesday morning since the 17th century. The first market was held here on 13th May 1642, and in winter there are over 100 exhibitors presenting all sorts of local and regional products.
In summer, there are often more than 200 exhibitors.
« Who hasn't seen Piégut, hasn't seen a market». This local saying sums up all the pride of the inhabitants of this large town in the Périgord Vert region for its weekly market.
Come from 8am to 1pm to discover the many products that local producers have to offer.
