Hautefort castle

A 50 minute drive from the Grands Gites du Périgord but well worth a full day's visit, this historic castle is steeped in history and majestically overlooks the landscape.

The architecture is breathtaking, the interior beautifully decorated and furnished, and its famous gardens are listed as one of the Notable Gardens of France.
