Villars caves

Located 4,5 km from the Domaine des Grands Gites du Périgord, Les Grotte de Villars is a unique cave which offers the sight numerous concretions of great diversity as well as authentic cave paintings from the same period as those of Lascaux.

The cave of Villars has one of the largest underground networks in the Dordogne department with nearly 13km explored to date.

To deepen your knowledge on the first inhabitants of the cave, a reconstructed prehistoric camp as well as a fun and educational area have been set up.

You will also find a picnic area, a shop and a playground for children nearby.
