The Saint-Pierre de Brantôme Abbey is a former Benedictine abbey founded in 769 by Charlemagne in the diocese of Périgueux.
Today, the abbey church (11th-13th centuries), part of the cloister (14th) and the monastery buildings (17th), which house two municipal museums as well as the town hall of Brantôme, remain from this imposing building.
