Boschaud Abbaye

The Boschaud Abbey belongs to the commune of Villars and is located 6 km from the Domaine des Grands Gites du Périgord. It was built between 1154 and 1159 by the monks of La Perouse who deposited there the relics of Saint Bernard.

The remains of the church and the oriental cloister building were classified as historical monuments in 1950. With its beautiful acoustics, the abbey hosts concerts, choirs and plays and is a joyful place to celebrate the music festival.

This superb site also serves as a romantic and solemn setting for wedding ceremonies.
